Don't know if they're bees or wasps.

A dozen or so a minute would indicate wasps and you have my permission to do anything you like to them. A couple hundred a minute would mean a colony of honey bees and should be treated kindly. Call your County Agent to find a beekeeper in your area to trap them and make suggestions on the easiest way to get the honey out of the wall. RScott

Sounds like muddobbers, a long bluish black wasp which are infamous for clogging up things. If they aren't honey bees just shoot a stream of wasp spray down each hole and run like hell.
